Billing online website runs HORRIBLY

Any suggestions on how to make my experience trying to pay my bill online not make me want to smash my computer?

I constantly have to sign in and out, and whenever i try to see my bill details, the site crashes.

Am I alone?  Is this common?

I don't know whether you are alone or not (I suspect not, I have seen some complaints here and at other places), or whether it is common (I suspect not, there really aren't that many complaints here or at other places considering how many users there are), but I can tell you I have been paying my Verizon bill through the website for over three years now, not a single problem ever, it has worked perfectly every time. So, what is the difference?

 

My environment: Windows 7 Home Premium, 64-bit, Firefox 14.0.1 (but I have been doing it successfully with multiple levels of Firefox), lots of Firefox add-ons, not deleting any verizon.com cookies.

 

Your environment?

 

Some suggestions:

 

1) Start whatever browser you are using without any add-ons and see if the site then works.

 

2) Make sure you do not delete any verizon.com cookies and see if it works.

 

3) Try using the "keep me logged in for two weeks" option if you have not already done so (make sure you keep the verizon.com cookies, because one is used to keep you signed in).

 

4) Try a different browser.
