I contact Verizon and place my account on hold before going overseas. They said we could keep our DVR and Set-top-boxes until we returned. When I rented my house, the new tentant tried to activate Verizon fios service at our old house. Verizon would not start service until we canceled our service (which was on hold). When we did Verizon advised us we would have to pay for not returning the DVR and set-top-boxes. The charge is extermely high. Has anyone else experienced this and how did you handle it?
I'm tired of people saying they "Support Our Troops" until it impacts their business process and pocket book!
