Regarding account # {edited for privacy}, I was having a house built a year ago and had to cancel the account but was promised by the rep if I was to get new service within 90 days the 230 fee would be waved. I canceled the old service and started new service with the allotted 90 days. I received a bill including the fee, I've been calling for a year to have the account adjusted. Finally spoke to someone a few weeks ago who initiated the adjustment. I am going out to buy a car and checked my credit report and realized Verizon has put this against my credit on all three bureaus and a duplicate on one of them This account should have never been put with collections. When I called the Verizon credit department directly this morning the person was rude and transferred me to the wrong dept. This is UNACCEPTABLE.

I can honestly say that I have never been treated any worse than I have with Verizon FIOS.  I am moving to an area that is not supported by Verizon which makes transfering my services impossible.  I understand that I "signed" acontract to get a $10 per month discount.  My problem is that over the years I have probably spent over $20,000 with Verizon and they are willing to lose me as a customer for life over $180.  It just does not make sense!!  If this is not resolved to my satisfaction I will also cancel with Verizon wireless.

It is not the money....It is the principal

Hi everyone,

Very rarely do I ever get onto forums but after today I must say how horrible my experience has been with Verizon and how horrible they are treating their loyal customers.  I have been with Verizon for several years and have always been a supporter of the company.  I moved about a year ago and took verizon with me they said great news we can get you a great deal if you sign up for the next 2 years.  Fine this sounded great I was going to be in the area 3 or 4 more years and even if I moved they said no problem take it with you.

Well my parents retired and wanted for me to buy their house, I then tried to transfer my Verizon but there is not Fios in the area.  I need fast internet as I work in IT and DSL just will not fullfill the need.  I have requested for many years to have FIOS to be put into my parents house and it just has never been installed.

So now my wife and I have 13 months left on a contract, with 130$ termination fee.  We have called and spoken to a rude manager.  And plan to never use verizon ever again.  I have been a loyal customer for close to 10 years, and I want to take the service with me but it is not offered, they will not waive this fee.  I had no idea this is how things worked now, I had moved before many years back and Verizon had told me if you move and we dont offer the service we will waive the fee.  I trusted verizon, and verizon cares not about the loyalty of their customers.  I would have stayed with them at the new home if only the services that I need were available.

My family owns a few companies and I will be asking them all to stop using verizon, as they no longer care about their customers.  They care about themselves only.  Its not only about the money, its that I have always supported and told companies to use verizon (I work in IT) I have always said to every company that I do an install go Verizon they will take care of you not only with great internet but great customer service.

It seems that I must change this to Xfinity now, because Verizon has lost touch of being customer friendly.  I will make sure to post this on every forum and spread it around facebook.  Hopefully Verizon will change its ways.

I am so disappointed,

you digusted me today Verizon

From an ex loyal customer

This is exactly my feeling as well, a loyal customer for the last decade, yet over a move a $130 fee, they are willing to lose me and my businesses for life.  It honestly makes no business sense.  Im sad to see Verizon move to what Comcast used to be known for (bad customer relations), they have really taken a turn for the worse.
