Never received bill!

Hi!  We receive our Verizon Residential bill (for DSL internet/mandatory landline) via email, specifically at my main gmail address.  The last bill we received, however, came on January 1st.  The bill we're expecting for February never came!

It's not in spam (checked that) nor has it been accidentally filtered into some other email box.  Of course we can still log on to see the bill on the website, and we're enrolled in automatic payments so I really don't expect an interruption there.  But, it would be really nice to receive our bills as expected, anyway!

I'm wondering if this is at all connected to a pop-up message that appeared when I logged in just now.  It says, "Recently Verizon sent an e-mail informing you that your current High Speed Internet promotional pricing would be expiring.  Please note that the new rate has now taken effect.  To upgrade or make changes to your service, select the link below to see what's available.  We've added more speed than ever before!"

We never got the email referenced in that pop-up message, either!

Can anyone help?  Wanted to see if this could be resolved without getting on the phone, since we've had a lot of bad experiences on the phone with Verizon reps in the last two years... too much misunderstanding, wasted tim, and unfulfilled promises.

wow! my daughter  had same message pop up in her account (about DSL promo pricing ending) but she gets paper bills. However , when she looks at previous bills, there was NO  promotional pricing for her DSL, in fact it had recently increased, and she has been out of contract for a few years.....so it is a mystery to her how Verizon can claim that this price increase is due to some promotional price adjustment coming to an end.....it was 26.99 on prev bills with no mention of any promo price or discounts or deductions of any kind, and now it is 33.99.....so now when frontier takes over , they will have a justification for charging this new inflated rate.....shameless, at the least!

wow, DSL fails the spellchecker too? gotta go post about this next.....good luck getting your bill / email straight w them

u could double check that the email address (that you're expecting the bill to arrive at) is still listed correctly  in your "my Verizon" profile and that paperless billing still shows you as enrolled i guess, but i bet you did this already huh? good luck, peace, out!

Thanks for the input, Madscanner!  Ironically, a few hours after I posted my question, the same night, our bill actually showed up!  Talk about silly timing.  I guess it's a lesson in patience, though till now our bill has always shown up either on the 31st, 1st, or 2nd day of the month (with two exceptions, one on the 4th & one on the 6th)... this one waited till the 7th to show up, and since it's due the 17th, I was getting a little antsy.  Anyway, all's well that ends well!

I sure am still curious about the email that we (and your daughter!) supposedly received about the end of "promotional" pricing!  In our case, we did have a promotion end on November 28th.  With the promotion, our "Double Play" bundle cost $39.99 for DSL internet plus Regional Essentials phone line, together.  After the promotion ended, according to the billing statement not only did our $10 discount go away but the price of the bundle jumped another $7, so now we're paying $17 more than last year - $56.99 per month.

We don't even want the phone line, so I really wish we could get rid of the Regional Essentials, but Verizon requires the phone line be activated for DSL customers, so we're out of luck there.  I wish I knew how they decide to price these things - I wonder whether your daughter is getting the same service as us!?  Glad for her sake she's paying that much less!  Our original promo was for the DSL/phone line bundle for $44.99 a month for 24 months, which was supposed to be a $5 a month discount.  Unfortunately, when we signed up for it there was a HUGE rigamarole trying to get them to honor the discount - apparently the promo wasn't something the billing apartment could actually deal with - so instead they eventually caved and gave us $10 off for 12 months.

With our terrible past experiences talking with Verizon reps on the phone (no two ever seem to say the same thing, and it took us 5-10 phone calls to get our various issues all sorted out over the course of five months), I don't feel like it's worth it to call and ask for a better rate... except the difference of paying $23 dollars a month more than the next person really is significant!

Back to the point, I really wish Verizon could be more accountable with their emails.  "We sent you a notification email" that never arrived... doesn't instill one bit of trust in me!

I'm glad to hear you did receive your emailed bill, cricket82. I think your price is comparable to my daughter's, since the $33.99/month is for the DSL only, and she too has telephone service with Verizon. When she originally got her DSL, it was only $14.99, and McAfee Internet Security and MSN Premium were both included.....both of those freebies are gone now and they increased her price AGAIN (I mean to $33.99, from $26.99, which was up from $21.99 i think, and $19.99 before that). Shameful practice calling a price increase an end to (non-existent) promotional pricing and also referencing a (never-received) email  concerning that same price increase. You can bet that email, if it had been sent, would have been from one of their "unable to reply to" email addresses that companies so conveniently use.
