I want a new phone but am not due for one until April

My new every 2 is up in April but I am not sure that I can make it this long with my Blackberry, but do not want to pay the full retail value of a phone.  Does anyone know if I can buy a phone elsewhere and if Verizon would activiate it on my account???

Sure you can--just make sure it is compatible with Verizon's network (has a Verizon logo on it) and is not a lost/stolen phone. 

 

Another option, if you are the primary line (or an Individual plan) of $49.99 or more, you may be eligilble for the "annual upgrade" - you'll get the 2-yr price on a new phone, but it will push your NE2 eligibility up 2 years as well.  The advantage is you can get a new phone now at the two year price.
