Hi, I bought the fios triple play yesterday (August 13th), and I got the message saying due to the strike, were unable to schedule an installation date at this time...
A Verizon representative will contact you as soon as a date becomes available.

Now my question is, will they email me or call me to schedule the appointment?

Also, has anyone else bought fios recently like august 7th or higher, and have been conacted with an appointment date already? And if there is, how long did it take from the date of your order?

I bought it during the last week in July, had it scheduled for August 9th installation, and I still have not heard anything about when it will be installed.

What state are you in though? I'm in new jersey, and hopefully it makes a difference with installation dates.

Oh and I called Verizon, and the guy said anytime within two weeks I'll receive a notification. But how did they contact you for your notification?

I purchased my FIOS back in July and my installation date was supposed to be Aug 8.  That obviously didn't happen since they went on strike right before my install was supposed to happen.  I still haven't heard anything from Verizon and I have no internet or tv at my apartment (I just moved in).

Did anyone get a scheduled date yet? And I mean people who when they bought the service, received that work stoppage alert.

Signed up August 10th. Live in PA. I haven't heard anything on an install date. I ordered a self-install kit on the 12th just in case this lasted a long time. However, no date given on that either. Was told that unit was also backed up because of the strike. Has anyone thought about ordering satellite or cable in the interim?

I bought it at the end of july, with an the earliest install available today, 16 august.  My house had cox ran to it, underground. Verizon came out friday and pulled their line through the underground tube by removing the cox wire.  Monday I get a call saying the install will not happen due to the strike.  Now I am contemplating having COX installed.

yep, i did, i currently have service and i am moving, not far, and previous tenants also had it, but i was adv same thing that due to strike not able to give install date, i had rep when i placed order n aug 10th i work from home and needed by aug 20th, but i am still getting dont know when they will be able to install.  i have been calling everyday and was adv this wed they just started on some back orders, but still did not know when they could assist me.......

Signed up Aug 17 in Belmont MA. Nothing has been scheduled.  The house is already wired. I'd set up everything myself if they would just send the kit and turn it on.
