Let's see if they remove my post from this area as well.

I find it very stupid that unless you have an HD box for your tv your "menu - guide - info" buttons don't work which means you have no way of finding out what's on tv. With Comcast I could hit the guide button and it would tell me what the name of the program that was on my tv at the time plus I could use the guide to find programs I wanted to watch. That's not possible with Verizon. I have this huge remote that pretty much does nothing but turn the tv on and off because I don't choose to buy an HD tv and then if I did it would cost me $20 more a month, which is ridiculous.

I'm sorry for your frustration. May I suggest you create a new idea in the Idea Exchange suggesting a change? You can do so here.

Thank you!

I find it interesting that my post has been "edited".  I thought we lived in the good old USA.  Once again, Verizon makes sure you see only what they want you to see.

I've already suggested they make a change - doesn't mean anything.

Only the Digital Adapter DCT-700 does not provide a guide, and items as you have described.

The HD boxes work on a SD TV at $9.99 a month, the price will go up $2 a month though. The notice I received said July 15, 2012.

One more plus I did not mention. I had an HD box hooked to a 10 year old SD TV and could still receive the HD channels. It scales the resolution down to fit on the SD screen.

Here is a link to the support page that shows the different type of boxes they have. The Multi Room DVR is $20 right now. Verizon has various types of boxes depending on the installation and what is available.

$9.99/mo each or bundle and save when ordering 2 or more Set Top Boxes

At times the Moderators must edit content that might not be appropriate. I am a user just like you and get my hand smacked every now and then.

I hope you find the information I have posted is useful.

Best Regards

Mark
