Problem With My Fios Router - Wont connect to my Vizio Tv

Bought a new Vizio smart tv. But i cannot get it to connect to my Fios Router even with the WEP code. It will connect to my mobile hotspot from my Verizon Wireless cellphone but not my home router? Crappy model router? just cant handle the transfer speed or something? Anyone know how to get this thing to work or are the better models of routers from Verizon that i can swap it for? Re: Problem With My Fios Router - Wont connect to my Vizio Tv

Try changing the security from WEP to WPA2 for the ActionTec's Wireless. It seems that solves a lot of handshake issues between devices and the ActionTecs. Granted, WPA2 is more secure so it gives people some more piece of mind when it comes down to others getting onto the wireless.

You can change the security by following these steps from Verizon: http://www22.verizon.com/Support/Residential/Internet/fiosinternet/networking/setup/security/125521....

Had a similar issue with a Vizio BD player and connecting to Amazon, HULU, etc.  Vizio tech advised that WPA or WPA2 was required and that even though the player indicated connection with WEP, no streaming was possible.
