We arrived home from Thanksgiving to discover that our neighbors had to turn off our the main water because it had been leaking for a few days. We did not have water to the house. There was a note on our door from a Verizon contractor who had done work in the area and apparently had caused the leak. Long story short, the contract was obstinate that they did not cause the leak and that they were not going to fix it. After much yelling and cursing, they sent someone over to fix it.
Do I submit my claim to Verizon for the waterbill and hotel room charge for reimbursement or do I submit to the contractor. I am assuming that it is the contractor but curious if anyone else has dealt with a Verizon contractor breaking something while on the job?
Thanks
