Verizon greediness

I am in the process of terminating my verizon wireless accounts.  At one time we had everything in our house through Verizon.  It is absolutely disgusting that Verizon was messing with employee benefits and retirement.  Shame on Verizon.  I do not know anyone who works for Verizon or am I related to anyone who does.  Verizon's rates are outrageous - execs. make a fortune and the real people who do all the work and are the true backbone of Verizon get a "thank you" by Verizon wanting to cut benefits.  UnAmerican and DISGUSTING!!!   I want this forwarded to the top Verizon personnel.

Re: Verizon greediness

im wondering why they went on strike? more money I am guessing. everyone wants more money. I do. but the money has to come from somewhere... unlike the govt, verizon can't print more money. to give employees more they would have to raise fees. The money comes from somewhere. you and I. the people that use verizon services.

I personally dont want to pay more for verizon services. I cant afford too, i've been out of work 8 months now.

verizon employees need to be happy they have a good paying job. no job is perfect 100% of the time..  but they are lucky to have one in this obama pawn shop economy.

all corporations are greedy, I agree on that one.

Re: Verizon greediness

You are absolutely right Verizon is full of greed.  I am also in the process of terminating my contract when it up.  I did consider myself a valued customer before and I left Verizon a couple of years ago and came back to same old thing... Verizon gotten greedier.  I was charged this enormous bill and have always paid on time.  However, to bring insult to process of greed during a PPV event last month of the Fight between Mayweather vs. Orthez on 17 Sep 2011,  Verizon then,  charged my bill twice for the fight and a different price at that; go figure.  My problem, is that I called numerous times on the night of the fight and could not get through receiving voice prompts stating "that Verizon is aware of the high value of customers calling in and they are having technical difficulties " and will fix the problem as soon as possible. end quote.  Although, after calling the company again and speaking to different customer service representatives and being place on hold for over the duration of and hour.  I was finally told they don't have a record of the complaints..But,  the next day, I received calls requesting whether I wanted to take a survey...hmm.  Now, my thing is that,  the company has all this technical experience and can't figure how to read their own data base to see that numerous call and internet service was swamped with calls coming in, stating problems exists in the viewing area where I live,  is beyond me!   I have a Verizon lines all that has to be done is to review calls made on September 17 from my phones and to whom... I can assure you that Verizon technical  number is there.   THAT SIMPLE.....

Re: Verizon greediness

I tend to look at this from BOTH sides.  Our economy is in the dirt!  Inflation is on the rise! Yet, people are surprised that employees are expected to contribute to the EXCEEDINGLY high cost of health benefits?  I would understand if this original post is coming from a Verizon Employee, and I wouldn't argue if that is the case.   But, from a public stand point; " Who is getting free HEALTH BENNY"S", it's 2012...  Read the paper!!!
