And what did you think of it?
Last time I went to the movies was to see Sucker Punch. I liked it, but I went in expecting eye-candy and not much more. ![]()

Last one I saw was Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows Pt 1. Looking forward to Pt. 2. I enjoyed it, as I have enjoyed the entire series.
There's a lot coming out this summer that I'd like to see. Trying to remember what they were... Cars II, because of my son. Pirates #457 just because. (Hello? Johnny Depp. Need I say more?)
And I sorta kinda want to see Brides Maids just to have a no-brainer movie that makes me laugh a little. And doesn't feature a lot of car chases and explosions. (Not that there's anything wrong with that - just not what I want most of the time.)
My husband and I have not seen a movie together since the Christmas Scrooge w/an animated Jim Carrey came out. Someday... (this is what happens when you have small children and no babysitter!)

Pirates of the Caribbean, strange shores,
Good but not the best of the series

Oh man, in an actual movie theater? I think it was "Tangled" with the kids, which was actually great.
At home I watch stuff when I can via Netflix...fell asleep during "Time Bandits," an old favorite, the other night.
Wanting to see "Bridesmaids," "Hangover 2," and many that I missed that are now on DVD, especiall "Insidious."

We saw Kung Fu Panda at a Drive-In theatre with my wife, kids, nieces and nephews. We had a great time and loved being outside under the stars watching the movie. Pirates of the Carribbean and The Hangover were playing on the other screens and I have to admit I peeked at those every so often. Can't wait to see them next.

in a theatre? Toy Story 3 (3D).
My wife and I have a son who recently graduated from the University of Louisville. We went to see the movie with our neighbors and one of their 2 kids (4 at the time), seeing as how he has a crush on my wife and we love those kids!!! Needless to say, some aspects of Toy Story 3 hit home. ![]()

Larry Crowne last night. Pretty cute; always liked Tom Hanks, and he does his usual great job being a guy without a clue, who finally gets it all.
Worth seeing.

The last two movies I saw were Kung Fu Panda II and Thor. I saw both movies at a local Drive-in Theater (one of the few still in operation in the country and they are heavily supported by the community), back to back on the same ticket since each ticket into the theater allows you to see two movies, sometimes three movies. Kung Fu Panda II in my opinion was much better than the first movie, which is a surprise considering what seems to be a trend towards making animated movies worse each time a sequal movie is added on. Thor was nice too, the soundtrack was just awesome with the mood it created while viewing the movie. Since I was at a Drive-in and chose to go on a day where we had a severe thunderstorm passing through the area, for the course of 5 hours I was watching both movies through heavy rain, lightning shooting a half mile away and loud thunder from inside of a car. Was cool, comfortable, and never had a moment where I could not see the movies. During Kung Fu Panda II, the lightning was oddly enough timed with the sequence of events in the movie!
It's funny that you guys should mention Harry Potter coming out. With that movie coming out a little less than 5 days now, I'm going to be seeing Part 2 of the Deathly Hollows (saw Part 1 last summer in a typical movie theater) at the local Drive-In. I watched the Red Carpet Premiere streaming via Akamai, which was in a way exciting. Otherwise, I'm not a huge movie watcher at home. I watch what I can online, but we don't do Pay Per View or On Demand via our Satellite Company, as we all know what happens if you fat finger something; messed up bills for months! We have plans to get Netflix Instant Watch up and running here, though we need a faster connection to the 'net first before we even try to do that ![]()

I did get to see Harry Potter over the weekend. I probably should have rewatched Pt I before watching Pt 2, just to refresh. It was really good - enjoyed it immensely. One of these days I'll have to go back and re-read the books. Although I sure would prefer that they made them available as ebooks.
I don't have any other movies on my radar right now. What other summer blockbusters are coming out soon? I'm out of the loop.

Captain America is supposed to be out soon. Don't know if it will be a "blockbuster".
