Family Online Activities for Summer and Beyond

by Employee ‎07-16-2012 07:52 PM - edited ‎07-16-2012 08:24 PM

summertips133x316.jpgNow that Internet Safety Month is past, I wanted to share a list of 75 fun family activities that encourages the innovative use of technology, enhances summer learning and helps families connect. We've also collected our Internet Safety links and resources for your use. Feel free to share these with your friends and family.

The list comes to us from the Family Online Safety Institute's "Platform for Good," a new website that will allow parents and kids to express good digital citizenship, share experiences and advice. You can sign up to receive updates from Platform for Good at www.aplatformforgood.org.

Verizon supports the Family Online Safety Institute’s mission to promote a culture of responsibility online and encourage a sense of digital citizenship for all. We are looking forward to collaborating with FOSI and other internet and telecom industry leaders to launch FOSI’s “Platform for Good” later this year.  For wonderful stories of how people are using technology for good, follow on Twitter at @platformforgood.

For the full list of 75 tips, visit  www.aplatformforgood.org/summer. A one-page PDF is also available.

On our Internet Safety links and resources page, we have links to replays of our Internet Safety webinars, tip sheets, and a

A four-part series for parents on understanding and preventing cyberbullying.
