I’m proud to share with you our recent partnership with Sportscaster James Brown, the host of CBS Network’s “The NFL Today” and Showtime’s “Inside the NFL,” to launch a national campaign to end domestic violence against women and men.
Brown said, "Domestic violence is an epidemic in all of our communities. That deepened my personal commitment and desire to help end domestic violence. It's my hope that millions of men join me in this campaign." To read more click here.
While we’re working with James to engage individuals to do their part to help domestic violence, it’s also important to work with youths. Earlier this week, Verizon hosted another Training Camp for Life at the Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis where Gary Brackett and David Caldwell of the Colts spoke to students about healthy relationship to help end teen dating violence.
I hope you’ll join in and speak to a youth about having a healthy and respectful relationship. Get them to take the LIVERESPECT PLEDGE too.
No matter which team you root for this Sunday, I hope you’ll join our efforts to bring down domestic violence.
