It's great to have the option to extend recording time by adding on to either the beginning or end of a scheduled show, but it would be nice to be able to start a recording late. When the networks play their games of tacking on an extra minute to a show, it totally screws up the recording schedule. The only way around it is to cancel a recording, and set up a manual recording for the channel, starting the time a minute late (or whatever you need). That's cumbersome, and if you wish to make this manual recording a recurring one, you can't because you already have a recording scheduled on that channel during that time. I guess at that point the only option would be to remove the series recording altogether. It would be so much easier if a recording could be set up to start late.

Any updates on this.  I am losing more and more scheduled recordings these days becasue a show is scheduled to run a minute late with two other shows scheduled to record.  As the orignal poster has indicated, having to manually record shows when this happens a minute later then scheduled is a pain.
