Currenly there's no way AFAIK to hide unsubscribed channels in the guide and when hitting channel up/down - this is ridiculous. Clearly Verizon removed this feature in order to advertise these additional channels in hopes of getting people to subscribe to them and spend more money. Well all it does is **bleep** people off (see the forums), so please add this option.
Yes, I know I can use Favorites to do something similar, but it's a pain to setup, and Favorites should be for my Favorites, not for "all the channels that I pay for". There should be a single option, "Hide unsubscribed channels", and it should be selected by default.
They have added a subscribed catagory to the favorites. So you just set your guide to default to the last viewed. img 1.9 feature. They did listen, but wanted to keep the unsubscribed channels somewhere, otherwise how would you know there are new ones?
It is 23 months later, is this still Under Review?
Please hide the channels that I do not subscribe to. It's unnecessary information and I am not interested in channels that I do not subscribe to.
At least Windows Media Center is able to filter out channels that I do not subscribe to. It took a couple of hours, but at least now I see a guide that contains only the channels that I subscribe to.
This idea was Launched in 2011 with the release of the 1.9 Guide. If you would like more information on how to make only your subscribed channels appear, please go over to the IMG 1.9 board on the forum, and ask our users for their help.
Verizon needs to block display of Adult channels by default unless the customer wants it. I am sorry to say this is not at all family friendly.
Unless fios is not interested in families. I am very close to deciding that I dont want fios.
Launched but does not work. Do I subscribe to every VOD and PPV movie available? Are you going to provide them for free? I guess you could say I subscribe to Pay VOD channels since I do have your service. There should be an easy way to turn them off. NOT Favorites. My favorites are not everyone elses favorites, plus are you going to allow a way to sync the boxes. Plus the VOD channels seem just to pop up anywhere.
I would love to see this implemented ASAP. DirecTV offers this as do many other competitors. There is one small question though, why hasn't Verzion opened up their API fully to allow people with the ability to customize their experience then share it with others?

There is a way to set the guide to only show subscribed channels.
Use this link for details: http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-TV-Technical-Ass istance/Channels-I-m-not-subscribed-to-are-showing ...
Using your remote use the following steps:
Menu -- Settings -- Television -- Last Viewed Guide State -- Enable (as checked)
then go to Guide -- Options -- Subscribed Channels
From this point when you click on the guide you should only see subscribed channels on the guide listing.
Please note, if STB is reset, you will need to follow steps again.
