How about adding an "Ask a Question" section to the forums? If there is such a place I have searched for half an hour and cannot find it. The question I would like to ask is what happened to the box under the headline area where you could pause forward or go back? It has been gone for over a week.
What??????
Asking a question is EXACTLY what the Forums are for! Pick the topic area and create a thread asking your question. Or better yet, pick the topic area and SEARCH FIRST with some keywords for your question, probably 75% or more of all questions now being asked have already been answered. If you find the answer, there you are. And if you don't, then create a thread and ask away.
And as to your specific question, what is the topic area you are asking about? From what you have said, I have no idea. Come on, give us some clues..... ![]()
Did you actually read my post? If you did your response makes about as much sense as the nonsence we get when we attempt to get an answer from customer service. READ it again and if you can't figgure out what I was asking posting has been nothing but another even bigger waste of my time than talking to customer service.
Yes, I read your incomprehensible post at least six times and I have no clue what you are referring to. Now if you don't understand why I don't understand what you are trying to say, then perhaps that explains what your problem is when talking to customer service. It really, really helps if the person complaining or asking for help can even somewhat remotely describe/explain what their issue/problem is - can you actually do that, or is your post just more wasteful nonsense that we see so much of on the Forums?
Come on, make an effort, I know (or at least hope) you are capable of doing it!!!!!
Just as Justin stated.
You can Ask questions in the appropriate forum/board. If you place your question you ask in the wrong place the moderators usually move it to the proper location for better coverage. So you may get a better answer. This is a very helpful Community, and many customers here will attempt to help. BUT your question must be clearly stated or we are just guessing.
Like this one for example.

Are you talking about the program title box that displays when you pause your DVR?
It looks like the progress bar when you Pause and Fast forward or Rewind or attempt to do frame by frame is not consistent. It may be since they changed the copy bit for programming copy protection. I find it very difficult you use these features now. That is the only thing I can think of that may have brought out a bug since Aug. 1. No other software changes have been made that I am aware of. It seems like my DVR has been acting a little strange, and no software img or build number has changed.
I am running on Cisco DVR hardware CHS-435 img 1.9 Build 12.40
Sample posting of a question under FiOS TV Technical Assistance. Perhaps I will get a response.
