I can tell you from experience AND word-of-mouth, Georgia customers are FED up with out only 2 cable service providers (3 in some small circumstances).

Come to Georgia (bring FiOS with you) and you will have a ton on the following:

   1.  Verizon name

   2.  No Contract

   3.  People ready to get away from ________ & __________

Also, I volunteer to be your test dummy....

Unfortunately, due to current econimic conditions Verizon is not expanding their footprint, but are focusing on increasing penetration in areas already deployed.  The fact of the matter is that while providing a superior service it doesn't come cheaply to install the infrastructure for FiOS and they have had to curtail expansion - sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you.
