I would like the ability to surpress the ":emergency test messages" that interrupt my watching Netflix or Pre-Recorded Content over-and-over-and-over. I appreciate the desire to notify people of potential emergencies, but I would like the freedom to opt-out of the test messages that interrupt my viewing threee times in the last ten minutes, and force me to go throug the menu system to get back to where I was in the movie, with the mood of the film totally destroyed. EAS Testing shoulod be viewer controlled.
My understanding is that it would be illegal for Verizon to do as you request.

I am just wondering.
Why is that?
Thanks.
I have seen comments before that when EAS tests are done are controlled by local authorities not Verizon. I would assume FCC requires providers to carry them to all subscribers.
Joe,
I don't know if I should open a new suggestion or not.
I would like to see the DVR's continue to record even throught the EAS alerts. Currently the EAS alerts cause the DVR's to stop recording and only pickup recording after the alerts. I've seen this on another provider. On playback of the recordings the alert is not shown except where the alert was actually put up on a local channel.
