Would like to be able to change what the name is that is displayed on my On-Screen Caller ID, sometimes it will just say Wireless Caller, would like an option to change that to the persons name so I know who is actually calling, maybe display what is defined in my contacts on My Verizon for that number.
Also would like an option to break up DVR recordings into sub folders by who in the family they are for, so I can easily find recordings for my kids.
Now that we can add external hard drives for recorded DVR content, we have the ability to retain hundreds and hundreds of hours of programs -- this is a great feature!!
However, the amount of content is getting quite large. It would be nice if FIOS automatically provided a catagory view (News, Movies, Sports, etc...) of recorded content. In addition to that, it would be even better if we could catagorize content into cutimizable folders, such as "Kid Movies", "Dad's Shows", "Classic Movies", "Favorites", "Spooky Movies!", etc....
If this can be done, please ensure programs can be placed (or tagged) for multiple catagories. Also allow users to pre-select the catagories when the recording is first setup. Doing this throuh the STB would be nice, but doing it through the web portal wold be even better.
I like the idea of the caller ID feature on the screen, but the number doesn't stay up very long - maybe 3 seconds or so. For me that is too fast. If it is a number I am not familiar with, I can write it down. I would like to be able to access a list like Dish and Direct TV provides, to go back and see who called while I am sitting down watching TV and maybe call that person back.
Provide a caller ID list on the STB that can be referred to while watching TV Have the list go back a few days or a week, then automatically be either erased or saved to the box.
3 seconds is not long enough to read a number -
ginnylin44,
1) Then change the amount of time it is displayed: Menu ==> Settings ==> Alert Duration. Can be set to 2, 5, 10 or 15 seconds.
2) If you have FiOS Digital Voice then you can view your calls, change settings, etc.: Menu ==> FiOS Digital Voice
