I am concerned that Verizon Fios may be dropping the Universal Sports channel in January. This is one of my preferred channels that airs sports content you simply cannot get anywhere else. I would be greatly disappointed if this channel was no longer available. If anything, Verizon Fios should be moving to offer it in HD. I would hate to have to cancel my Fios subscription and move to DirectTV because Fios is dropping Universal Sports.

Agreed!  This is a great channel which offers unique sports programs that Verizon should be offering.

I just got off the phone with customer support. Can someone detail the reasons, both business and technical, of why universal sports will no longer be offered? I am so depressed that this will no longer be offered.

Agreed!  I will go back to DirecTV is Fios drops Universal Sports.

From what I understand, FiOS isn't dropping US, but NBC is not broadcasting it as part of the NBC local feeds (channel 464 here) anymore, instead providing it as a separate channel starting 1 January. I'd like to see FiOS add that channel, though, especially if it will be available in HD. It carries some international rugby, which is woefully lacking in HD throughout the FiOS lineup.

FIOS should pick up the new NBC alternative.  Don't deprive us of our Olympic Sports Verizon!!!

Please keep Unverisal Sports by NBC. It is the ony way to follow Olympic Sports year round.

We are really disappointed that Universal Sports disappeared from Verizon FIOS and are considering changing to Direct TV because of it.  Are there any plans for Verizon to get it back?

Happy new year Verizon, and thanks for the gift. No more Skiing, Ski Jumps or other winter sports. Hope you fix it back soon, otherwise I'm looking for other providers.
