Don't upgrade, leave pricing the same

Just received notice that my DVR rental is going up a dollar a month to pay for system upgrades. Here's an idea: Since I'm already completely satisfied with my FiOS TV service, why not skip the upgrades and leave the price the same. Thank you!

I was with COX until they started going up and up! Then along came Verizon with lower prices! Thus I switched, gues what gang, Verizon is playing same game and going up and up! WHAT KIND OF YOYO IS THIS? JUDETHE1

The rates inevitably go up once your 2 year contract is expired whether it's with Verizon or the cable company and they will all offer a package deal at a very low price to lure in new customers.  I think inevitably also, there will always be some upgrades that are needed with the way technology is changing constantly at a clipper's pace. 


I think it would be better to include a choice of rewards and incentives for loyal customers based on years of service.
