I certainly agree with the post about the "free mjultiroom DVR for life." Verizon does everything it can to find new customers. However, it doesn't do anything for its current users. When you see things like, $79/month triple play including free multiroom DVR for life, and you realize that you are paying a much larger fee, plus paying a large amount for a DVR that isn't even multiroom, you realize that Verizon doesn't care about us. It only cares about new subscribers! Couldn't they at least allow us to have our current DVR free for life? That would show a little appreciation for our faithful monthly payment.
I agree with Kt4ever.
Hardware should not be rented. Basic boxes at least should be an integral part of the product. Comcast is offering all types of incentives to have you change change service including free hardware.
At the very least, the consumer should have rights to purchase to own.
The rental fees are outragous! I usually bounce back and forth from comcast to verizon for a better deal every year or two because neither one wants to reward longtime customers. Most homes have several tvs and those box fees are killing me. Dont they have the techology to give you what channels you want without any box at all, come on. I was straight up lied to about the price of my plan so it went up 40 bucks. they are the ones that have to keep sending techs out to change over the service and equipment every year. Does that make sense?
Verizon should look into rewarding it's longtime customers that stick around and not flip back and forth. Plus give good incentives to try to get people on board.
I tell you that once I got my Fios and fell in love, I recommended friends and family. Word of mouth is the biggest way. But why would I want to recommend my friends and famiy if eventually you forget that I'm a longtime customer and reward only new ones...
Soething for the higher ups to think about....
I agree with everyone here! It's looks like no one at Verizon has looked at any of these comments because no one has responded to them. That's quite a shame. I have 3 dvr's in my home so I am paying $60 a month plus, internet and phone. So I could definitely use some freebies for being a long time customer of Verizon. It'll never happen though, they want money and that's all they are thinking about. Times are getting even harder financially on families and people are going to start cancelling services because they can't afford the cost of these extras. Then these companies are going to wish they had listened to their customers when they had us.
I am LIVID over this. I gerenally like the services I get from Verizon but the fact that I'm paying close to $300 so some johnny come lately can have free DVR is total **bleep**. I'm seriously considering dumping them over this.
