Free multiroom DVR for life?

Status: Acknowledged

I recently saw an add on TV for FIOS . It offered free multiroom DVRs for LIFE! Why am I paying $19.99 a month for mine? How about rewarding your longtime subscribers with a free DVR for life! My bill is over 200 a month! How about rewarding me!

Thank you for your suggestion- I'll make sure it gets to the proper team within Verizon.

Ok. I need to add something here. I just came over to Fios no more than 2 months ago and I didn't get a DVR for life. I have to pay a monthly charge just like all of you. I am suspecting they are just telling this to people to get them over to Fios. I was suppose to get a $300.00 visa card and I haven't seen that either and I know I am not the only one. I did come over here from Comcast because they got to high and when we called them about anything we could do to lower the cost the only thing they had would also lower our internet speed. That was not acceptible so we came here though I am already questioning if it was the right move but what other choice did I have? These two are our only choice here and I have done the satelite thing with both companys and dont want to go there again.

i'm a senior citizen living on a fixed income and one of verizons first customers! I really can not afford all the extra prices tagged onto my bill for set top boxes etc. I called verizon about the free lifetime recorder when they first introduced it and was told it was only a short time deal! months have gone by and it is still going strong--- who is being shafted here. it is bad enough I have to pay for a bunch of channels I do not watch but this is the straw that broke the camels back! I also complained about the excessive and I mean excessive cable behind my bedroom TV--guess what they will fix it for a fee!        posted  by Bob L

Please fix this - I am have a large investment position in Verizon and having people switch back and forth to gain rewards just doesn't make good financial sense.  If you have a long term customer you should offer special incentives just for them and their tenure.  I.e similar to a discount offered for insurance or if you auto pay , never pay late etc , they can give you some extras.  This DVR promo burns me up and when I call they say sorry only for new customers

Dear Verizon,

I have seen this same request many, many times with NO results so I am asking the same question:

I have been a Verizon customer for many, many years and often wonder why huge companies continue to charge dedicated, long time customer for every thing you can charge us.  It would be great for Customer Service and Word of Mouth for you to get thousands of more customers if you would STOP charging people for the DVR monthly FEE after a certain period of time. i.e. after 1 year.

Can't your brainiacks figure out that the thousands of new customers you would get would offset the $19.99 FEE you keep charging us to continue being a customer.

WORD of MOUTH is always the best way for a business to get and keep customers plus customers will be happy to have the thought that you actually care about us PLUS be able to put $20.00 more food on the table or outrageously priced gas in the car.

Wake up and stop being so greedy.
