You all are planning on dropping Funimation? This is a very dumb move imo. You have a ton of people that are Verizon Fios customers solely for this channel. This is the only channel you are able to watch "real" anime and I along with alot of people from what I see just googleing "Fios to drop funumation" came here mainly for that channel. There are NO real anime channels beside this, how could the ratings possibly be that low. This channel is no lie on at my house at least 8 hours a day. This is the channel that runs even while I am on my pc not watching TV. Go find another "actual" crappy channel to cut. I can't imagine many people watch cartoon network anymore now that Adult Swim is filled with stupid shows a 4 year old could do a better job on and comedies that are the dumbest thing I have ever seen. If you cut this channel Verizon I asure you, that you will lose ALOT of customers.
I am seriously dissatisfied!
I originally got Verizon for the services and because its lineup carried the couple of channels i spend most of my time watching. I understand the need to shift content around because of costs and content. But do they honestly believe that i would except "low viewership" as a rational? Given some of the other channels in the current lineup. Variety is why I pay for this service. The Funimation channel is at the top of that list.
With its absence i will be ending my contact with Verizon and seeking other alternatives to access this content.
As I have remarked on the other forums, please reconcider this poor decision.
I know it always comes down to money with you folks, but there is a personal element here.
Your e-mail stated that "..the continued effort of Verizon to offer our customers the most popular channels while keeping our rates reasonable"..What determines "popular channels" (more Bravo?) and can I expect a rate reduction with the elimination of this channel?
As others have stated, Funimation is partly to blame for the changes in their programming content that has driven some to watch less and I have let them know my feelings, but for Verizon to eliminate the ONLY source of quality anime on verizon, this is a major loss. It isn't just an inconvenience, but a loss of viewing choice. Where do we go now, online streaming?
The fact that Verion carried Funimation when I signed up for Fios four years ago was a major deciding factor. I have always stood behind you for Fios and wireless. You have always had the best quality and programming, but what is your descriminator now? It isn't cost and it is very rapidly becoming not for programming choices.
Very disappointed indeed.
The FUNimation Channel is the ONLY reason I decided to go with Verizon FiOS over Brighthouse as a provider. Further, it is the ONLY reason I decided to purchase the much more expensive FiOS TV Extreme HD package instead of cheaper one. I watch this channel daily and DVR multiple shows and movies from it. I will have no need for multi-room DVR after this, maybe not even a DVR and certainly not the FiOS TV Extreme HD service. I may even CANCEL MY SERVICE AND FIND A DIFFERENT PROVIDER if the FUNimation Channel is actually dropped.
I suggest the Verizon team take some time to check their forums, see the petitions, and actually note the multiple calls to the Customer Care Line (1-800-837-4966) before the find themselves missing many customers and holding a bucket full of bad reviews.

I am extremely upset over this. This is the only channel I tune into 90% of the time. With all the issues I have been having with Verizon, and now this?? Bad move on your part, and I am certain you will lose a ton of customers over this decision.
I'm VERY disappointed upon receiving this news from Verizon. I have been a customer for years and this is the PRIME reason. When Verizon came to my region I cancelled my previous provider for Fios because of this channel. I watch the FUNimation channel 95% of the time. I'm sorry to say but if Verizon does go ahead with this decision I will be forced to cancel my plan with them and find business elsewhere.
FIRST, I was on here earlier and the vote count was at 15, now it is at 2! What happened?!
In regards to the ideas and fears of us not getting throught o FiOS, I called the Customer Care Line (1-800-837-4966). The representative told me that the contract with the FUNimation Channel is about to expire (March 15, 2012) and since they believe that there is low viewership they may NOT renew the contract. HOWEVER, by calling, he told me, I was being documented and as one of the costumers expressing interest in the channels being dropped. THEY PLAN TO REVIEW THE RECORDS FROM THE CUSTOMER CARE LINE TO DETERMINE THE ACTUAL CUSTOMER INTEREST IN THE FUNIMATION CHANNEL.
So? CALL! CALL! CALL! 1-800-837-4966. TELL THEM YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THE CHANNELS BEING DROPPED AND WISH FOR THAT TO BE REFLECTED IN THE RECORDS!
This is not a joke. Just call, please!
I received a great deal of help from a number of customer call center rep's about this issue. The ironic thing is none of them in the departments have even heard about this issue SO KEEP THE CALLS GOING(1-800-837-4966). I also was told to voice my concern to the head corporate Verizon office.
There are the details, spread the news, voice your opinion, send emails, sign the petition

GOOD LUCK!!
As many of us today are aware, Verizon FiOS has made an absurd announcement that they plan on dropping the FUNimation Channel. Well, there is a current thread here in the Share Your Ideas with Verizon in support of keeping the FUNimation Channel (http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-TV-Programming/F
Earlier today, this had 15+ votes! Just 10 minues ago, I logged back on to see how things were progressing and the vote count had CHANGED and REDUCED down to 2!
I urge you all to make sure to revisit that thread over and over, whenever you can, to make sure your vote still remain and/or REVOTE if the admins continue to remove the votes! I also suggest the idea that our votes NOT BE TOUCHED AND CHANGED by ANYONE except the ACTUAL customer/user.
Verizon don't you dare .This is the only channel I view almost all day long, about 90% of the time.Yeah, you got a bunch of useless channel that i dout get any ratings.Go and brige another contract with the guys at FUNimation.I bet they'll be happy to renew it for you. There is good fanbase for the channel and part why they have verizon as their carrier.
