In latest time some users experiencing problems with internet. An internet browser stops loading internet pages without any visible problem and resuming it after a few seconds. After a little investigation the problem was found. Latest versions of browsers like Chrome, Firefox, Safari use DNS prefetch technology which sends incorrect requests and hangs internet socket. This technology is ON by default. The solution of this problem is disable this technology. Would be good Idea include this solution into Verizon troubleshooting page. Also would be nice create a script which would be show internet improvement before and after disabling of dns prefetch technology.

I'm glad i found this, I use FireFox as well and this has been driving me insane. I had no idea this was causing it. To disable in FireFox I found this: http://www.technipages.com/disable-the-firefox-prefetch-setting.html
