OK, so evidently its a tough concept for Verizon to let customers have what they want immediately. Which is strange since i pay a lot per month and i was willing to pay more immediately. I wasnt looking for anything for free. I didnt realize i didnt have NFL network (why would the NFL do this by the way) in my HD package. So on thanksgiving with my entire family around i realized i couldnt watch the 49s. Not a problem i think, since i'll pay to upgrade. 30 minutes later after trying to navigate Verizon's crazy website i finally figure out how to upgrade. Only it tells me that it will take 2-3 business days. Not a problem i think, again, i'll live chat with them. Surely, Verizon being a technology company has a way around this. Turns out no. It really takes 2-3 business days. I can't pay anything now to make it work. So, being a smart consumer i'll switch services. I had Dish. I liked Verizon better. But i guess now i'll try DirectTV. Internet will probably be slower but i bet i'll be able to switch services immediately and watch crazy things like NFL football that evidently isn't on the normal (upgraded and EXPENSIVE) HD channels. Go figure. I'm pretty sure i won't need any TV service in next few years. And yes, obiously i'm upset and frustrated. I own my businesses and make sure i make my customers happy.
Had a similar experience. Only when I called to order NFL they would only speak to me in Spanish. The entire thing was a recorded message. No matter what I did, I couldn't order the service and I couldn't speak to a person. Terrible.
