I am the mother of 2 boys 12 and 14 who are sports fanatics - in particular soccer.

We subscribe to Fox Soccer Plus (Channel 1009).  Although most of the channels in the 1000s are sports channels, for some reason 1005 has been assigned to "Hot Choice" - an adult channel.  Since you redesigned the  way your channel lineup appears, now every time my kids look at the schedule for FSC Plus they get to see lovely titles like "**bleep** Moms like it Rough" and "{word filter avoidance} My High School Teacher!"  - displayed right above things like UEFA Champions League and below things like "Little League World Series Championship" on ESPN 3D (1002).

I'd really like to see the adult channel moved to elsewhere in the lineup.

By the way - interesting to note your "decency monitors" automatically replaced the word "SLU*" with "**bleep**" in my posting above as apparently it is considered inappropriate language for this forum.  However, the word appears in its entirety in the channel listings without worry of offending anyone.

Also want to clarify - I actually have no problem with you having this content available to viewers that want to watch it - just wish my kids didn't have to see those titles every time they looked at soccer listings to see what time a game was on.

In the meantime: You can handle this a different way.

You can also add all the channels you are ok with to Favorites 1 and set settings to

The guide and up and down channel button will only ever show the good channels. everything else becomes invisible

Verizon should really just display channels that customers subscribe to. I tend to use favorites most of the time.

Windows Media Center at least has been configured to scan and only put channels that I subscribe to intot he guide.

Please move the adult channels away from the sports channels as observed by "MOMOF BOYS" above. Thanks for your anticipated prompt action. Tony

I have to agree.  I'd like the adult channels put far away from everything.  Can you stuff them behind the Music Choice channels?

I think blocking adult content also blocks shows like Rescue Me and Louie.  Those are very different types of shows from adult (aka porn) movies.

As an aside, the adult (aka porn) movie makers could make a killing by naming some movies with nicer titles.  When those titles show up on the bill, it's a real kick in the pants.

I would say to change your guide to only show subscribed channels. But these channels still show up in guide.

I will put in a request for them to be hidden when you only select subscribed channels.

It is a marketing ploy. Most males watch sports. Most men watch porn. Why not add the porn in the sports section and maybe the men will buy the content on the channels? Its a bad marketing ploy but it has worked or else they wouldnt keep doing it. A way to get around the unfortunates is to modify your favorites list or at the guide click on channels I subscribe to. This should get rid of the unwanted channels.

Yikes- I can see why you wouldn't want your boys to see those titles! There are a few suggestions in this thread on how to avoid this through your settings. In the meantime, I'll make sure that those who work on FiOS TV see your comment.  Thanks!
