Please make the previews on OnDemand appropriate for all ages! We love all the kids shows available for our toddler on OnDemand, though the previews for scary/action movies are not suitable for her to watch as we navigate the menu. One must have scared her so much, she runs into the other room as soon as the OnDemand menu appears and won't come back out until her show starts. And once her show ends and the menu reappears with the previews, she runs right out of the room again.
I've shared this experience with many other moms and they all agree. Why would we have to deal with these previews to access programming we're paying for?
Thank you.
I agree. Sorry about your daughter. While I personally have more of an issue with the loud volume and repetitiveness, my nieces are over quite often and I have to run and mute the TV whenever their shows end. And even then I watch their eyes start to bug out as an ad for a horror movie starts playing, at which point I dive for the power button and just kill the whole thing. Good post.
I could not agree with this post more! all my friends say the same thing. This is RIDICULOUS! We pay enough money to not have to watch any trailers let alone violent ones. The whole reason I have cable and OnDemand is to choose what my children watch, and avoid commercials. Everyone knows violence is not appropriate for children and actually harmful. If you don't change this soon I will be getting rid of your service. It may seem minor to those without children but to me it shows a lack of respect for children and customers if you will not address this issue.
When I am browsing to find my young child a TV show on demand, the preview screen is always playing ads for movies that are completely inappropriate for children. This happens even once you enter the "kid zone" section. Would it be possible, at least once you enter the kid zone, to show appropriate preview content so that I am not always doing a dance of muting the TV and strategically standing to block the TV screen while I scroll through 6 different screens so that we can watch SuperWhy? Thank you so much!
If you are going to continue making changes to the VOD menu we should have the option of keeping the one we have. Personally I avoid your PPV menu because scrolling through those movies are time consuming and the boxes don't all fit on my screen. This morning I went scrolling through the movie channels to find something to watch with my son and found that STARZ and EPIX have both switched to box style. I like the list view because I can scroll through and see content rating and description and move on if need be, not fumble by boxes with pictures I may not want my kids to see, not all the channels have a family/kids sub menu.
