Several items:

  • The website continually asks me if I want to install the Verizon Toolbar. Once I answer "No", stop asking me.
  • I don't want to enter my mobile number to receive SMS updates about my bill. Take it off the screen.
  • I will not be moving anytime soon. If/when I do, I will call Verizon and coordinate. Take the Verizon Moving Center suggestion off the screen.
  • I am paying for several Verizon and FiOS services to the tune of several hundred dollars each month. I am not paying for you to advertise to me when I login to MyVerizon. Remove (or allow me to remove) any and all panes on the screen - including ads.
  • Quit logging me off every 15 minutes. If you must log me off, let me choose how long my session is. I go upstairs to my home office in the morning and I log off in the evening. I really don't want to login every 15 minutes to check voicemail and such.

Why do I have to start to log in my name and then have to start all over again? Sometimes I have to do this twice before it will start the logging process. Is someone using keystrokes?

I know this is the idea section but try and find a live person to talk to at Verizon.

Any one have any ideas on how to stop Verizon tool bar pop-up? I don't want it and have said "NO" countless times. It sure is annoying.

Good question.

As addressed in my thread http://forums.verizon.com/t5/Share-Your-Ideas-with-Verizon/Explain-show-demo-tell-How-is-it-a-better... someone replied to me saying

I think I have posted this before, but I will do it again.

I have found that if I log into My Verizon and use the "keep me logged in for two weeks" option, I no longer get the toolbar solicitation, except occasionally, and that appears to occur only when Verizon does some maintenance on My Verizon or other Verizon sites. So against my wishes, I go to My Verizon first, then use the pulldown to get to the Forums, and I no longer get that toolbar crap, even with Javascript enabled.

One key thing though is that the two week login is most definitely dependent on your not deleting the cookie used to store the information. The name of the cookie is VOLRememberMe, and it will have an expiration date exactly two weeks following your login specifying the option to keep you logged in for two weeks. If you happen to log out any time before the two weeks expires, the cookie will be deleted and you will have to log in the next time.

I have to keep signing in too.  I wonder if Verizon reads about our issues.  The My Verizon site is a joke and I hate it, I have never used such a user unfriendly site.   I really wish they would just start from the beginning and build one that WORKS.
