PAC-12 Network Launching August 2012- FIOS Must Be Ready to Add at Launch

The PAC-12 conference (formerly the PAC-10) just announced that they will be launching their own network (similar to the Big Ten network already on Fios) in August of 2012 for the start of the 2012 college football season and will be broadcasting a significant chunk of conference football and men's basketball games on this channel, as well as other sports involving conference members.  FIOS needs to be on the ball on this and be ready to add this in HD as soon as it launches in August 2012.

Yes, FIOS must be ready on Day 1 or I will leave (and I live in NYC).

I will also leave if Fios does not have this channel IN HD on day 1.  Pac 12 network won't just carry the leftover tier 3 games, they will be carrying MANY marquee games, including men's basketball and football.  They also plan to have on demand content and a digital channel similar to ESPN3.com and espnnetworks.com.  These should all be ready to go DAY ONE!

I too am history if Verizon does not pick up this network.  The thought of living in southern California and having to watch the Big 10 Network while missing the Pac-12 Network would ensure my departure.

Do the smart thing Verizon!

I am sure VIOS is working on it as they would not want to lose 1000s of customers.

Me too, I am gone to comcast if they aren't on board on day 1.  Much as I hate comcast the pac 12 network is the most important programming opportunity to me.  As a former west coaster it is misery being stuck with watching these college games with whom I have zero connection.

Astonishingly I called verizon tonight.  I was greated by the automated voice recognition system and when asked to speak to a representative about programming my call was funneled to a representative who told me that I was the first caller she had ever had call about adding a programming option.

I have had significant issues with verizons service and customer recovery, failure to add the pac 12 network will be the last straw.

Pac-12 Network will be must-have programming for me.  I would be willing to upgrade from Prime to Extreme to receive this channel.

FiOS is fantastic and I have now subscribed at three different properties over the past four years, but I would go back to Comcast if that was the only way to get this network.

Couldn't agree more. With Comcast as a launch partner for the new network, I may just have to move over if Verizon doesn't add at least the National feed.

Joe, has Verizon started negotiating with Pac 12 Media Enterprises to have this network available for your Southern California customers on day 1?

When I signed up with Fios late last year I was assured they would be picking up the Pac-12 network.  If not, I will go back to Time Warner.
