Verizon needs to get someone to fix the billing website (particularly the login authentication). I tried to log in for the past few days and it would always time out. I pay all my bills online and this doesn't happen anywhere else. I also have a very high speed connection. This happened at both my home and work computers therefore it must be the website. I eventually was able to access the page after browsing other pages on the website then clicking on the billing tab (apparently I had finally managed to log in during one of the attempts that timed out). However this was very annoying and time-wasting as something that should have taken a minute took several minutes a day of attempting to sign in
I'm trying to add to my service and I keep getting the PIN Request page. I don't want to request the PIN. I just want to add to my service. It's incredibly frustrating.
The PIN Request is to ensure you are the one actually logging into the account to make changes. Go ahead and ask for the PIN to be called to your account's phone number. Give it a few minutes for it to come in, and then enter in the PIN. From there you're free to do what you want. You will receive a call a day or two later about the PIN being requested and entered in, so just as a heads up.
Verizon was having some network problems as well this past week, so perhaps they are related to the login trouble?
My bill is due today, but the website will not allow me to pay! I'm a new customer, and I can't remember if I signed up for auto bill pay. There is no record in my account profile or on my paper bill. If I've set up auto-pay, it should be clear when I sign in. If I owe my bill, then I should be able to pay online!!!
If you are on Easy Pay (Auto Pay), your paper bill will have a message under the amount due that your 'Total Amount Due will be charged to Credit Card/Bank account on MM/DD/YY. DO NOT PAY'
Your online account will also have a similar message. After you log on to your account on myverizon.com, the Billing Summary section will advise, 'Do not send payment. DO NOT PAY. Total Amount Due will be charged to Credit Card/Bank account on MM/DD/YY.' The My Bill and Easy Pay screens will also have the same message.
