How come your program desriptons are so often incorrect or out of sync. Its becoming tiresome now. verizon will have incorrect info while the Sunday paper lists what is actually shown.
Your program menu information is the worst that I have ever seen. You should fire that entire department and hire new people. The information is mostly incorrect or not there at all. How can your customers schedule their precious time to either watch or record a program when the information is either not there or incorrect. During this 2012 Olympics I can neither figure out what you will broadcast on any of your channels. For example if it says swimming and I tune to the channel I will get gymnastics or soccer. If it says soccer I will get water polo or maybe basketball. Worst of all the spelling is often below 1st grade level. For the money I spend for your service this is totally unacceptable. FIX IT or I leave.
you probably need to contact the tv guide network www.tvguide.com you can also contact them on facebook under tv guide network.
Unfortunately this has been going for years. I am a subscriber since June 2008, and the guide has been a total disgrace from day one. Verizon at one point even sent out a survey about the guide and what came out of that???? NOTHING!! The guide data is as bad now as it was in June 2008. Verizon absolutely, positively does NOT CARE about the guide content. They have proven that.
And Justin is correct, tvguide has nothing to do with this, Verizon uses the cut-rate, incompetent company FYI for their bad guide data.
I would have to agree with this particular complaint. The guide itself is great for navigating which TV programs I want to watch and picking through my favorite stations and the graphics are excellent. I like having the ablity to swtich over to widgets for the weather forecast and to digital voice to clear out my call logs and go through any voice mail messages. I am a pretty satisfied Verizon customer and there is no way I would voluntarily trade that for cable but I myself have run across some pretty inaccurate program descriptions. Sometimes when I pick out a particular sitcom or movie to watch, the synopsis will not even be close to what the program is about or it will just be inaccurate, making me wonder if the people writing these descriptions have comprehension issues.
I never heard of FYI Television but I just found the website and the company's contact information if anyone thinks it might be worth complaining to that company about the matter:

It sounds to me like FYI needs to get its act together or better yet, Verizon should find a better company with more competent staff to handle the job. It sounds to me like Verizon chose the cheaper and lesser known company to provide the service and what happens over the long run when the only emphasis is on cost? The quality suffers.
You want something to read about the Guide Content. The Community Search Feature is very useful. The comments go on and on. But Verizon has improved much of the information to do with the third party provider's performance.
Yes I would like to see the Information Provider changed. I am not sure what type of relationship Verizon has with Tribune, if any.

About Tribune. I wish FiOS would use. I am almost sure TiVo uses them.
