Provide easy to view bundle pricing for existing customers. Make your standard bundle rates available for existing customers.
Then if you wish to give some type of loyal customer discount fine.
Don't play the same type of hide the real price that all your competition does. I have NEVER gone to Comcast and seen the real bundle price. DTV is second to you in providing the actual cost. But in some ways is more open. You know if you are existing customer you would pay this. But you are a new customer so you pay this. I am sure many existing customers would like this idea, and would have a much higher level of trust in Verizon.
Examples:
25/25 Extreme no voice.
35/35 Ultimate no voice.
Or any bundle available to a new customer. What would it costs us existing customers? If we want to cut back on services because of financial issues, it is almost impossible without a threat. That is a very sad state of affairs considering today's economy! I have almost always come to some type satisfactory outcome with Verizon or I would not be around. But like I said it should not require this amount of effort!
Verizon seems to be a joke. No one can get any answers to anything. When onlin trying to get bundle info we are put in a loop. Wake up VERIZON> give a price break to your old customers.
Oh you can get answers- but they are almost always WRONG. If it wasn't so mind-numbingly frustrating to deal with customer service, it would almost be amusing to listen to the authoritative way the reps issue completely inaccurate information.
Ok let me just repeat this. " I have almost always come to some type satisfactory outcome with Verizon".
BUT. It should be much easier to get at that point. Like build your own bundle for existing customers. Not just add to what you have and increase the bundle costs by upgrades. Unless you are at the highest tier, then there is no where to go, but adding premiums. This was not supposed to be a bash Verizon post or a complaint thread!
I believe it would be possible for there to be an easier way to rebuild an existing customer bundle. Downgrading or changing things for existing customers could be made easier. Even if the price is what it is, make it available.
Thank you, and this is an idea not a complaint.
For two years as a "new" customer, I have been happy with Verizon service. As an existing customer looking to renew, I am shocked at the lack luster performance of Verizon to "sell" me a new two year agreement. Frankly, as the two year bundle expired, I expected to receive an onslot of e-mails and mail showing the deals available to renewing existing customers. Instead, I had to go in search of what was available by looking online and calling customer service. Both were not helpful and even showed an anti-renewal atmosphere.
As an existing customer when I logged in to "shop" for a new two year bundle deal, why am I shown bundles which include installation and are not available to any existing customers? This makes no sense at all. The conclusion I came to: wait to see how much my bill increases without renewing for a long term deal. If the increase is too much, maybe shop elsewhere which is shame because for two years, they did a great job, Note to Verizon: you are "dropping the ball" with existing customers.
I am currently under no contract obligation, yet I CANNOT sign up for any new customer promotions. This makes a $30/month difference or $360 per year, not even counting the additional $250 gift card offered new customers. This is a terrible business plan. Getting new customers costs Verizon a lot of money, yet they seem quite willing to lose us to cable or satellite and then in two years we can come back and get ALL of the new customer benefits. Basically encouraging us to leave for a couple of years. CRAZY. I can maybe understand not offering the gift card to exisitng customers, but at least offer us the same packages.
I'll be calling Comcast this afternoon.
