Spam Filtering

Status: Acknowledged

How about spam filtering for words, headers, from, etc., that other email providers have.  I presently do not see any function for this on Verizon email.

From your inbox, look for My Settings. Click on Mail below that. Click on the Filters tab. Is this what you are asking for?

If it is not, could you clarify what you are wanting?

Thank you it was right there if front of me. Don't know howI I missed it.

Responded too quickly.  The Spam Filter as presently exists does not allow one to block specific  words, headers,, addresses, etc., as most web mail accounts do. All  Verizon webmail does is allow you to save or delete it.  f you press the delete button, Verizon does not know if it is allowable and you will not receive proper email.  Therefore one has to  press save it to check periodically if it is allowable.. With blocking, one would probably receive 2 or 3 spams instead of 10-20 each day.

The Spam Filter is different from the customer-set filters I was directing you to. You can set up filters of your own, based on a wide variety of criteria:

IF:

[From / Subject / To / CC / To or CC]

[contains / doesn't contain / matches / doesn't match]

____________________________ (blank input field)

THEN:

Send notification to: ____________

-OR-

Move to folder: [folder list]

-OR-

Delete e-mail message

Is this what you're looking for?

I disagree, read the other post above yours.

Should be: Already Exists.

If you OR anyone disagrees with what I am saying, please post.

Not exactly!  In the "from" catageory you can enter anything after the "@" symbol But that is where the variable comes in to play.  Its always "@ somethingstupid.info".  I'd like to put ending in ".info" in the filter but it won't accept it...or will it and I'm just too blonde to get it?
