Stream recorded shows from DVR to my Droid smartphone

Status: Accepted

Verizon clearly has the capability and network to stream more data/video to smartphones.  Since I can already log in to my DVR box to control recordings, why not push video that is already recorded back to my phone.  It would be one more way Verizon could stay ahead of the competition.

We do agree that you should be able to enjoy FiOS TV content from your computer or mobile phone... it may not stream from your DVR... it might stream from our network servers instead

I would love the fios boxes to gain the slingbox ability so I don't have to go through the hassle of trying to set one up on an unused tv in my house.

DirecTV offers an iPad app to watch live TV or recordings.

Dish network offers a STB which will stream live TV and recordings to androids, blackberries or iPads.

Cox, Comcast, Time Warner and Cablevision all have launched live TV streaming apps for the iPad.

FiOS is way behind in this area and it makes me consider switching to a competing provider.

It's time to not only catch up, but leap ahead of the competition by offering streaming capabilities not only to iPads but Android phones and internet-connected laptops as well.

I would LOVE to be able to watch my recordings away from home!

I agree with everyone! I am stuck in a contract with VZ and that is fine because I love FIOS! It is by far superior to anything on the Market in my opinion except for streaming live and dvr content to mobile devices. From my research as of late all the companies in the above post has access to these feature to all mobile devices now and Verizon is still playing in the sandbox or is that SLINGBOX? Verizon has that capability but they are using a Third Party company to both live and DVR content via SLINGBOX! Plus a charge of $9.99? As much as I love Verizon, I love my money more! If this isn't resolved soon, It might be a end to a beautiful 8 year relationship with Verizon!

We should be able to watch shows we record online. It makes it easier for people who are away from there TV for a while. If we are able to watch Movies, we should be able to watch recorded TV as well.

Since an App exists which allows you to record programs, it would also be nice if you were also able to watch programs which were already recorded.

I'm not sure how Verizon can send an email with the MyVerizon new features update of being "simplified nevigation, pay your bill, manage your plan and services or schedule your DVR quickly and easily, as "Great News!".

Basically this does very little for me as a consumer, it is geared to having people make less calls to your poor phone support because the original MyVerizon was so bad.

When are you going to add the ability for me to watch my shows on my smart phone or tablet? Things that in todays household is becoming expected and is offered by other providers.

Once you add some real features that people really want you could say "Great News!"
