Compared to Dish, Fios is so cumbersome in the tv program recording area.  I've found lots of ways things could be easier. First of all the Original Air Date should be listed on the first INFO screen without having to go into sub screens to locate it.  Secondly recording series which have optional air times is almost impossible. ie  Breaking Bad on AMC reshows it's New episodes again around 1am, 3am etc.  Only when you look at the exact time these shows are starting on the info screen it may be 1:02am or 3:04am, then the next week Breaking Bad will begin at perhaps 1:03am and 3:02am.  No consistency in starting times from week to week.  Fios won't let me record a series unless the starting time is exactly the same each week.  Somehow Dish was able to do this very easily.  Also Dish had a great feature...you could be viewing a program, looking at the name of that program in the guide or anywhere that program could be located by your remote, and with the push of one button at the bottom of the Dish remote it would give you a screen telling you all of the different times that show was on tv and if it was New or a Rerun, etc.  Great feature when doing a lot of recording of multiple shows.  I dropped Dish because of their dispute with AMC, but the work that goes into recording programs with Fios is really making me question my decision.
