Provide Effective TV Listings Search

Status: Acknowledged
by Silver Contributor III ‎05-12-2013 08:02 AM - edited ‎05-12-2013 08:04 AM

When I view the MyVerizon TV listings, I sometimes use the Search box at the top of the page to locate items of interest.  The box shows two tabs, "Movies and TV Online" and "On Demand."  Unfortunately there is no provision for searching  listings for standard broadcast programs.  Many users have reported this issue, so there's sufficient interest in the problem.

Thanks for your input. Currently, I do not have an answer, but I have passed this on to the .com team for consideration.

Restructure the "My Verizon" Web Site

Verizon, your web site is a mess. I am going to assume you are the victim of explosive growth and the site grew like Topsy with no control from the management. If I assume the web site is just the way you want it then I have to think it is diabolical in scope and is designed to minimize calls and complaints and reduce "face time" with the customer. Let me assume the former.

1. Separate Selling and Service. A customer who is trying to get his system up to expectations does not want to be barraged with offers of faster service, more content, and new gizmos.

2. If the mission statement of the Service portion is to a. Find the problem, b. Provide a solution, c. Follow-up until the customer is satisfied; then the task is to construct simple (er) flow charts of questions  (Filters if you will) to separate Billing, Hardware, Software and the ever present Cockpit problems. You have not done this very well.

3. The complaint system, as it is now constructed is assaultive to the customer. Starting with the music on hold (percussive and repetitive)

4.. The in-home agent is a silly application which is a time waster. FAQ's work better than that if properly filtered.

The above thoughts were generated after my "trouble ticket" {edited for privacy} went nowhere and informed my decision to just cancel everything and start fresh with another company and a whole new set of problems.

Signing in

Why must I sign in on Verizon whenever I go to a different site?  what is the use of signing in for 2 weeks when I can't be "remembered" for ten minutes?

It would be nice if your Customer Services Rep's have access to our billing information when the invoices are sent out. I had a couple of questions about charges and they could not answer me as they did not have access to the current billing cycle. No way to run Customer service if you have to wait a week or so before the Customer Services has access to your account information.

NO way to run Customer Service

Stop allowing tracking.

Verizon is allowing 3 Network trackers (Omniture, Dedicated Networks and X+1) and 5 Companies ( Real Media, Omniture, Visual Sciences, Double Click and X+1) to hang tags and track us.  Please, just stop allowing the tracking

Channel lineup and Fios programming

Create a section on your website that will let customers see what channels and programming that verizon intends to add or drop in the near future.

Sounds like a "Coming Soon" section. Interesting concept. I will share this with the forums team as well as the My Verizon group. Keep the ideas coming.

Account User Name

I would like to have the option of editing the My Verizon residential account primary user name! I have requested this several times and Verizon Fios says it is not possible.  Once it is set,  it is set. I'm sure alot of customers would be happy with this feature.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will share with the appropriate team.

Provide Order Status Online

I can't get my order status online.  I am logged into the site and click Check Order, enter my order.  Then, it asks me if I want to register!  I am already registered and logged in.  I just want to know when my order change will go through and my equipment will show up.  This site is very difficult to use.

Offer more

I have the least expensive triple play option.  I have clearer phone service but aside from that I honestly don't see any difference in internet speed and the television options/services are extremely limited.  Very disappointing.  After the fees, taxes, etc.  It is pretty expensive for the three services each month.  I am tired of calling - or trying to.

The reps seem only concerned with trying to get me to upgrade my services.   Why not insure that I am happy with the services I now have?   I am paying a lot of money each month and the charges for the 3 boxes is just unconscionable.  No BBC channel with this plan, no good free movies.   No current shows ON DEMAND.

There wil soon be many other options out there for customers.   Step up to the plate and offer more for less and answer the phone.

Bring Back MSN Premium

Status: Acknowledged
by MarkL on ‎01-03-2012 03:38 PM

So I just go the word that MSN Premium will stop being my ISP portal for my verizon/MSN email accounts, unless I pay more for MSN Premium.

I suppose this is because Verizon wants the ad space/revenue.  The only thing is when I went to log on, I get an error message that is not decipherable (may be user/password error, but who can tell????)

BRING BACK MY MSN for FREE.  I pay enough for the service that I do not deserve to be nickled and dimed like this.

BAD IDEA.  The $2 fee to pay your bill didn't work, so let's try this!!!

Do you want to keep your MSN too?   Let's hear it!

Keep politics off the Hompage!!

My idea is not just of my own thought but of many others. I should not have to see any biased news postings/links referring to a presidential candidate on My Verizon's Home Page. It is biased in that it cast a negative light on a certain presidential candidate. I,We can look up that news on our own instead of having to look at it by force.( we do not need any helpful links) It would be in My Verizon's best interest not to forcibly post the news/links in a highly  competitive consumer driven entity that wants customer retention. Therefore, My Verizon should not share it's own political opinion's/postings/agenda  with it's customers no matter what political candidate it supports. ...Thank You

Managing my account

Status: Acknowledged
by debbieweeks on ‎01-28-2013 10:42 AM

After years of signing in and managing my account easily, it is now a hassle.  First I am asked to combine my Verizon email and my MyVerizon logons, and to do this I have to create yet another logon.  Why can't you just merge the two?  I shouldn't have to create a new one, just give my My Verizon logon access to the email.

So I skip the logon merge part and try to review my Fios TV subscriptions, and find that I can't do anything right away because "for my protection" you are requiring me to enter a some pin number.  My logon and password should be enough security.  If you want more, use security questions and answers like everyone else.  The only options for getting this pin are a message to my home phone, a text to my son's cell phone (?), or the US Mail.  Are you kidding?  US Mail?  Issues with logons to websites should be resolvable quickly and easily via the website.  I shouldn't have to wait for a letter in the mail.

My biggest complaint about Verizon has always been customer service, and it doesn't seem to be getting any better with the changes to the Verizon website. It's crazy that I can't do anything with my account until  I can get a pin number from my home answering machine, my mail, or my son's phone.

Eliminate or give the user the choice to NOT have the subject area beging changed by the new subject sliding in from the right.  This is vfery distracting.
