FIOS voice mail

Your FIOS voice mail isn't good.  Why not make it like the standard out there.  Both at work and with Verizon wireless, the number options are the same.

 

My biggest gripe is that after a message plays, you con't give me an option to delete it--as with verizon wireless.  I have to listen to it again and then press <3> while listening.  If I happen to listen to a message and wait just a second after it finishes, pressing <3> for delete puts me into some other mode.

 

Fix this and you'll make me an even more satisfied FIOS customer!

Sounds like you have 'autoplay' enabled which does eliminate the prompts after each message plays but allows you to use 2 to save or 3 to delete during message playback. To disable 'autoplay', from the main menu press 4 for Personal Options, 5 for Message Preferences, and 2 for Autoplay and follow the instructions to disable.

Just came over to FIOS from Xfinicrap. Voicemails should be available in the email folder. That's the only thing I'll miss from over there. I could listen to voicemail, or view a transcribed copy in my inbox.

Do you have FiOS Digital Voice? If so, you can set up email notification with the message attached as a WAV file. Go to verizon.com/fiosvoice to take a look at the user guide. You can log into your FDV online account manager with your MyVerizon user name and passcode. If you don't have FDV, you can use Verizon Call Assistant to listen to your messages via the web, but it doesn't have email notification. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Grey out channels I do not receive

It is hard to remember all the channels I receive.

 

I would like the option to grey out the channels that are not part of my plan so that I don't have to browse channels, choose something, then find I don't get it. Also, make it impossible to record channels I do not get on the DVR.

Try this: On your remote go to Menu -- Settings -- Television -- Last Viewed Guide State -- Enable (as checked) then go to Guide -- Options -- Subscribed Channels This ensures that everytime you click on 'Guide', you'll only see the subscribed channels on the guide listing. To go back to viewing 'All channels' on the guide, go to Guide -- Options -- 'All Channels'.

DVR Scheduling

We need the ability to schedule the recording of  a show  to end early as well as after. So many shows now end a minute or two after the hour it messes with the scheduling of the next hours recordings. Also it would be helpful to be able to start shows after not just early.

You are in luck! This feature already exist. You have the ability to start and stop a recording when you would like. Use the manual record feature.

Since BBC-HD has already been asked for I'll as for some more. I have the Ultimate HD package and have little interest in sports, yet that seems to be all we're getting as far as new channels these days.

 

Cartoon Network HD has tons of new HD programing, the Brave and the Bold, Sym-Bionic Titan, etc.

 

Since Funimation switched over to HD, FIOS now streams the HD channel downconverted on the SD channel and it looks terrible. The resulting picture is either 4:3 letterboxed, or even worse, for 4:3 programming we have a postage stamp sized picture. It's virtually unwatchable. Please add them as a full HD channel ASAP.

Channel line up

Please update the channel lineups that can be printed online. The last update was 2010 and the Select lineup is not available. I understand I can view the lineup online and in the guide. I have an elderly parent that just likes to have a printed lineup in his hand to look at. Thank you.

You are in luck! Use this link: http://www22.verizon.com/home/fiostv/digital-tv-channels Enter your zip to show the lineup for your area. You can sort by Name or Number. There is an icon on the left bottom for printing. It takes a few extra seconds for the whole lineup to load in. You will have what you need in a printable PDF format.

It would be similar to email spam. In the call log, the owner could mark the caller as spam. Future calls from that phone number would ring straight to voicemail.

 

I am a bit disappointed with my upgrade to Fios Digital for not already having this feature.

You can actually click on the name/telephone number on the call log and then click on 'Call Block' to have the number added to your call block list. You can do this from either your web account or FiOS TV. The calls will be totally rejected, however, and will not be deposited in voice mail. Most of those types of callers will not leave a message in voice mail anyway. We are hoping to increase how many numbers can be blocked in the future. Hope this is a good alternative.

Desperate need for Fioss Channel Guide for older folks who are computer/tv services illiterate.  Totally unavailable is downloadable channel lineup with 

  -  local channels  ABC NBC CBS CW and affiliates

  -  music choice channels  (can't find listing anywhere)

  -  the above listed in numerical order 

 

Please, you dug up this over-60 community for this great digital service, and some have gone back to Comcast to get a channel listing.

Sorry for any trouble finding it. It's under 'Calling Features', 'Incoming Call Block'. You can also do call block from your FiOS TV. Refer to page 13 of the user guide found at verizon.com/fiosvoice for instructions.

Manage Sub-Accounts

How about adding the ability to ACTUALLY mange email accounts.  Add the function to change the password for the accounts email address.

 

Brighthouse does this very easily.  If a password is forgotten or the user wants to change it, it is just logon, choose the email account and change password.

 

Verizon FIOS does not have this option.  Please add this.

After logging into My Verizon, use the top navigation to highlight the My Verizon Tab. This will show a drop down where you can update your Account Settings. Choose Profile > View All. This will launch overall Account Settings. Under Account Settings, choose Manage. Follow steps to update your password.

I can't make a post that includes personal and account information. I think We need a private support board that customers can access, and post private information that only Verizon and the customer can View. Sort of what they have on DSLReports.

Hi Prisaz- this actually already exists. If a customer has a question/issue posted on the Forums that can't be solved by other users, we'll escalate it to our Private Support board. There, the agents can have direct conversations with the user and the user can provide their account details in a safe place that won't be shared with the everyone on the boards. Hope that helps!

fix the ability to record only new shows

Currently you cannot change from new and repeats to only new shows. This is REALLY frustrating as I keep getting way to many shows recorded that I have already seen and I cannot change it.

See only channels I have in my package

Am I missing it?  If so, I'm not the only one - but is there a way to ONLY see the channels in the package we pay for?  *(Without having to manually go and put everything in to a Favorites.)

Your website is HORRIBLE.  I have been trying for over 1 week to pay my bill.  I can't even pull a copy of the statement.  This is the worst website that I have ever tried to use.  Tonight I was finally able to log in and then pay the bill.  But I can't even pull a copy of my statement.  This is ridiculous.
