Problems logging into Forum until cookies cleared

I just had some problems logging into the forum using Firefox. (and Chrome)

Yesterday I had logged in with a community only login, choose for it to keep me logged in, and was checking a support message with the web page left open.

This morning the forum had logged me out, and when I went to log back in using the forum login link it kept continually re-directing between two pages.

The first login URL is:

https://signin.verizon.com/sso/authsso/forumLoginPage.jsp?goto=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.verizon.com%2Fvrz...

which issues a 302 redirect to:

https://signin.verizon.com/sso/authsso/communityLogin.jsp?goto=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.verizon.com%2Fvrz...

The 2nd communityLogin.jsp page just has the following on it, which loops it back to the original forumLoginPage.jsp:

<head>
        <META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="0;url=https://signin.verizon.com/sso/authsso/forumLoginPage.jsp?goto=http%3A%2F%2Fforums.verizon.com%2Fvrz...
        <title>Forums Login intermediate page</title>
    </head>
    <body> </body>

These kept looping back an forth between those two urls many times per second until I stopped the page load.

Multipl login attempts produced the same result as the above re-directing loop.

I finally tried to clear all my verizon related cookies in Firefox.

After that I was able to click on the forum login link and was given the option to login as  verizon customer or with a community login.

I experienced the same issue yesterday, but was using Chrome.

Originally I thought there was a glitch with Chrome, so I switched to Firefox and it worked, however now I'm thinking it must have been because I didn't have any cookies set in Firefox initially.

I just checked now, and Chrome is still in the same re-direct loop, I can provide cookie information if you want to investigate this.

Hi digoceanJ,

Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Before the agent can begin assisting you, they will need to collect further information from you. Please go to your profile page for the forum and look at the top of the middle column where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases". You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.

Under "My Support Cases" you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information. The title of your post is the link. This should be checked on a frequent basis, as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. To ensure you know when they have responded to you, at the top of your support case there is a drop down menu for support case options. Open that and choose "subscribe". Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.
