What is Idea Exchange?
Idea Exchange is a new part of the Verizon Residential Community where community members can share ideas about new or existing Verizon products and services. This is your chance to tell us what you want to see here at Verizon, share your thoughts with others, and comment/vote on ideas and suggestions others have submitted as well.
Sounds Cool. Where can I find Idea Exchange?
Click here to go to Idea Exchange. A link to Idea Exchange can also be found on our community page at http://forums.verizon.com
How do I post an Idea to Idea Exchange?
Posting an idea is easy.
1) First, find your way to the Idea Exchange by going to http://forums.verizon.com and clicking on “Share Your Ideas With Verizon”
Click “Share Your Ideas With Verizon.”
2) You’ll arrive on the Idea Exchange page. Once you’re there, click on the “New Idea” button, located on the left side of the page near the “Suggest” banner.
3) You’ll be taken to our Idea submission page. Here is where you submit your idea to share with the Verizon Community.
4) Assign a category to your idea from the drop down list. You can find a description of all the categories further down in this FAQ.
5) Make sure to give your idea a clear title and explain it as completely as you can. Remember, the more complete your thought, the more likely it is to get noticed! You can add smiley’s, links, and format your text. Click “Preview” to see a preview of your post, and don’t forget to spell check!
6) You can also use tags to help other community members more easily find your ideas. Tags should be related to your idea. Other community members can also tag your ideas, unless you check the “Do not allow anyone to tag this idea” box when you post your idea.
7) When you’re all set, click post at the bottom of the page
Your Idea now appears on the Idea Exchange for others to comment and vote upon!

Is Verizon really listening to my ideas?
Absolutely! One of the great things about Idea Exchange is that you can track the status of your ideas- as your ideas are sent to the people here at Verizon who can make them happen, you’ll see the status of your idea is updated. We’ll be telling you if the idea is something we are working on now or would like to do in the future, or if it’s something that is not feasible for us at this time. Rest assured- we’re listening to you!
What do the different Idea Statuses mean?

What do the votes mean?
Just as you can give kudos in the community forums and blogs, you can vote for ideas you like on the Idea Exchange. Ideas with high vote totals are more likely to be recognized and accepted by the teams at Verizon who develop our products and services. You can also leave comments on ideas, but remember to be kind!
Why was my idea removed or rejected?
Some Ideas are just not feasible for our business, and will be marked with a status of “Not Likely”. Posts to Idea Exchange will be removed if the post does not contain an idea or violates our Terms of Service.
What’s the easiest way to find ideas I haven’t yet read?
The
easiest way to access your unread ideas is through “All Posts”, which you can
find at http://forums.verizon.com/t5/forums/recentpostspag
