Be Prepared For A Hurricane

by Employee on ‎08-28-2012 08:46 AM

Did you know August 24 marked the 20th anniversary of the day Hurricane Andrew struck South Florida? The storm devastated and transformed the region, and at the time, it was the costliest hurricane in U.S. history. (It now ranks behind Hurricane Katrina in 2005 and Hurricane Ike in 2008.)

As hurricane season gets under way again this year, we here at Verizon have begun to ready our network and physical assets in preparation for the possibility that Tropical Storm Isaac will cause extensive damage.

Ensuring Your Readiness

Each year we review and update our emergency preparedness plans and conduct drills to be ready for a wide range of disasters – especially major weather events such as hurricanes. Do you do that with your business?

Even if hurricane doesn’t touch your area other natural disasters may wreak havoc and you want to make sure you are prepared to keep your business running.

Check out the video for some helpful tips or watch this free webinar offering even more tips on how you can protect your business from a disaster. To read more about disaster recovery read this post.
