Simply enter your ZIP code to get started, and the Yelp Widget will generate a list of businesses in your area. Click on any local business, and the address, phone numbers and user ratings from Yelp.com appear on your television screen. Plus, you’ll be able to get the lowdown on price range, parking, what the attire is like, whether or not it’s kid-appropriate and more, all at once. Like to know more before venturing to a new venue? You can read user-generated reviews to find out what real people think.
Prefer to search another way? The widget features four main categories: Shopping, Night Life, Restaurants and Hot on Yelp. From there, select from the list of specific sub categories to find exactly what you’re looking for. So if you want to find a place to eat Asian Cuisine in town or shop at the latest boutique, you’ll be able to find it with your remote control.
Besides finding more about local business in my area, I know I’ll use the widget to familiarize myself with new places that I travel to by entering the destination’s U.S. ZIP code and searching away.
Now, there’s no more guesswork about where to shop or eat while on vacation or across town. The Yelp Widget on FiOS TV makes it easy to plan ahead.
