Are you an app junky? My colleague, John Columbus, certainly is. So is my husband, who finds new cool apps for our iPad all the time.
With the amazing number of apps now in existence, do you ever feel like me and at times get lost among the apps?
Today, Verizon has great news. We’ve launched the MY FiOS app, an all-in-one, easy-to-use application that gives our customers access to everything from movies, TV shows and personal content; to remote DVR access and control; to home and energy monitoring. In addition, the app offers access to digital voice management, as well as billing, account management and customer service tools.
The MY FiOS app is now available on Android devices, and will be available on Apple devices by year-end. Verizon customers can download the app from the Android Market, after which you sign in with your proprietary Verizon.net username and password. Once in, you get any time, anywhere access to the best of what Verizon has to offer.
Even though the app is called MY FiOS, our High Speed Internet customers can use the app as well to manage their accounts. And there’s more to come: MY FiOS paves the way for access to dozens of new applications currently in development by my colleagues here at Verizon and by our content provider partners.
Away from home and need to check on your pets? Use the app to access our new Home Monitoring & Control service.
Getting ready for a long plane ride? Use the app to download that movie you’ve wanted to watch from Flex View.
At work and your colleague reminds you about the premier of your favorite show? Use the app to access FiOS Mobile Remote, which includes DVR management.
And there’s so much more. So if you’re a Droid user, download the app today. You can do so right here, by scanning the QR code below. And if you have an iPhone or another device, we’ll let you know when you can start using the new app.
