Let’s face it – all HD is not created equal. So with all of the great TV programming coming up in the next two weeks, it’s an exciting time to be a FiOS TV customer.
This weekend, college basketball fans will be glued to their TV screens during the conference championships. On Saturday, you’ll be flipping between the ACC games on ESPN at 1:30 and 3:30 pm ET, the Big Ten on CBS at 1:40 and 4:10 pm, and the Big East on ESPN at 9 pm – all in HD.
If you’re more of a golf fan, next Thursday begins the Transitions Championship in the Tampa Bay area. One week later, even non-golf fans will be watching the Arnold Palmer Invitational to see if Tiger is playing – he did win last year, after all. Luckily for FiOS customers, these PGA tournaments air on the Golf Channel and NBC. And of course, we’ve got them both in HD.
Looking for something other than sports? Don’t forget the final season of Lost on ABC, Tuesday nights. Admittedly, I’m not a “Lostie” but my friends and colleagues who are fans say they love watching the show on FiOS. The amazing HD picture and sound that FiOS offer really brings everything on the Island to life.
We can also check out some real life scenery with “Life,” Discovery Channel’s 11-part natural history series. I remember how amazing “Planet Earth” looked on FiOS, and I’m sure this will be equally incredible. Make sure you set your FiOS TV DVR for the first episode, Sunday, March 21 at either 8 pm or 10 pm.
With up to 138 high-def channels in every market, FiOS TV’s HD lineup beats cable every time. What else will you be watching?
