Follow Your Friends' Tweets on FiOS TV

by Employee ‎08-18-2009 09:35 AM - edited ‎08-18-2009 09:44 AM

Good news for all avid FiOS TV Twitter Widget users – your Twitter universe on TV has just expanded.

You can now follow your friends’ Tweets on the big screen. Using the onscreen keyboard, customers type in their friends’ Twitter username or email address and pull up their Tweets. Roll out begins today; all FiOS TV customers will have this new feature by the end of the week.

We’re announcing this addition to the Twitter Widget exclusively here on the Verizon at Home blog.

For those who haven’t tried the Twitter Widget, here’s the great stuff it already lets users do:  Send and view Tweets about shows you’re watching; follow Tweets that are specifically related to a program; view Tweets about today's hottest topics; search for specific Tweets; and create a ‘favorite topics’ list for the Tweets you want to check over and over again.

Because our subscribers love social networking on FiOS TV combined with our 100 percent fiber-optic network, we continue to add additional features, giving users the luxury of more innovative, interactive applications cable can’t deliver.

So sit back, grab your remote and enjoy Tweeting on FiOS TV.  And keep checking the at Home blog to keep up with the latest on FiOS TV Widgets.  More features and Widgets are on the way.

Let us know what you think.
