As recently promised, Fox Soccer HD is officially launching on FiOS TV!

As many of you already know, Fox Soccer broadcasts more than 400 live events every year, including the UEFA Champions League, Barclays Premier League and Italy’s Serie A, as well as nightly soccer news.  Fox Soccer HD can be found on FiOS TV Channel 584 (the SD channel is on 84).  It’s available to all FiOS TV customers who subscribe to the Extreme HD or Ultimate HD packages.

FiOS TV customers in Florida, New Jersey and the Philadelphia area will see the new HD channel today.  It will be rolling out over the next few days to our FiOS TV customers in Harrisburg, Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany, Texas, California, Pittsburgh, Maryland, Virginia and D.C., and will be in all remaining markets by month’s end.

So check out Fox Soccer HD once it hits your market.  And we’ll make sure to keep you posted on any other channel additions coming your way.

Thanks for the info Heather.  Will Philly ever get The Comcast Network in HD.  We are missing the Phillies-Flyers-Sixers and Unions games almost every night in HD since FIOS only has the no def station.  Help us out! Thanks

I went to channel 584 and it says I am not subscribed to it. I cannot remember which HD package I have, so I don't want to click subscribe and have it automatically upgrade me to a higher package.

Assuming I have Prime, is there any other way to get FSC HD without upgrading my package? Thanks.

We're considering adding Comcast Network HD in the future for customers in the Philadelphia market, but there are no immediate plans to add it.  We appreciate that you let us know this channel is important to you.

You do need to subscribe to either the Extreme HD or Ultimate HD package to get Fox Soccer HD.

And I'm with poolmy, Comcast Network HD would be a nice plus. Though by the looks of it I'd probably have to upgrade for that too...

I'm stoked it's finally coming to Fios. But I'm with trevout, why the delay to the Northeast? "By month's end" seems a bit harsh. The roll-out should be done in a week, not three.

Hi Heather , firstly thanks for FSC HD and thanks to the FiOS team for answering the myriad of questions reaghding FSC HD. I see NYC is not mentioned above so can I assume that I won't see it until near the end of the rollout?

I'm sorry but I need a better explanation as to why VHO5 has to wait until month-end to get FSC HD while other areas have it 3 weeks before us. I have been with FIOS for more than 2 years and have never seen a HD addition take this long - usually they take a couple to a few days. There has to be a reason for the delay and I would like to know why.

I think as paying customers, we are entitled to understand why we are not being provided the same service as timely as others.

Thank you so much. I got it today (it probably launched yesterday) here in Tampa, FL. Channel 584 FSC HD 720p in 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround Sound. Right now I'm watching the Champions League match between Manchester United vs Chelsea in HD baby!!! Thank you Verizon!!!

How much longer for the DC Area (Northern VA)?   Still watching CL in SD which stinks.   Don't understand why the rollout has to be a rolling rollout.

Another day passes and no Fox Soccer in Rockland County just North of NYC and for me NJ is literally a half mile down the road. How frustrating! Why is the rollout taking so long?

Not in the Bronx either , very , very frustrating , really hoping for it by the weekend at least to watch the cup semi finals , not expecting it though. .....poor costomer service on this.

As someone who watches a lot of EPl, Champions League, and Serie A I am thrilled to FINALLY be getting FSC HD. But I do have to agree with the others that it does seem ridiculous that NJ gets it 3 weeks before NY and the rest of the Northeast. Why can't we get a decent explanation as to why?

Yesterday, got the TIVO service message that FSC HD was added.  Hurray!!!  Changed the channel to 584.  Blank screen.  Booooo!!!  I'm in NYC/Manhattan.

Rolling channel launches are pretty common in the industry, but suffice it to say, FSC HD launched in Virginia today (April 14) and will launch in our downstate New York market, Massachusetts and Rhode Island during the week of April 25.

Have to agree with the other posts. I am impatient too, wanted to see LIverpool and Arsenal at the weekend on HD.

However I think the customer service here and on your twitter feed have been great. There is communication and thats fantastic.

We have all been waiting to watch our matches on HD. I saw the Liverpool Man City match on ESPN2 in HD and that was glorious. I understand the eagerness and as soon as its tuned we will be so busy we wont have the time to harangue you; we'll be busy watching the end of the prem and CL.

I understand there are things out of your control and bringing programming to customers is a  highly technical job. But please take note for your Exec. meetings and what not that Soccer fans are here and we're passionate and we want our programming so help us out!

I live in Southern Westchester and you said that FSC HD will be available this week for people who live in New York. Do you know which exact day the channel will be available because I would love to watch UEFA Champions League matches tomorrow and Wednesday.

Help !

PBS is now coming through on Channel 584 on TIVO which is also channel 2 (the first channel).

I tried rebooting the box and everything else but it's still there showing cartoons all day.

I wonder if I should contact TIVO.

Anyone else have this problem?

FSC HD is on 584 in the bedroom with my FIOS set top box so I know we should have it.

There's no update on MSG HD.  Cablevision, which owns the channel, will not provide it to us.  We have filed a complaint with the FCC and are waiting for the FCC to rule on our complaint.

Heather I really hope you will answer my question. It has been great having Fox Soccer HD but how about Goltv HD and Espn Deported HD. I really stinks and not fair to have all football games on HD but Futbol (soccer) isn't! Thank you!
