Back in July when we introduced our FiOS TV Widget Bazaar applications marketplace, we promised we'd be introducing a steady stream of new Widgets to bring the Web and TV together.

Since then, there's been so much going on, that a lot of readers might have missed something.   So here's "Widget Wednesday," a weekly update on our progress.

And anything goes.  We want to get your feedback and ideas.  How has your Widget experience been?  How can we make Widgets better?  We'll let you know about Widget trends, tips and tricks for users, hidden feature gems and other topics.  Of course, we'll announce new Widgets here first as always.

So here's a recap of all the free FiOS TV Widgets available to all FiOS TV customers.

Facebook:  Log in to Facebook through our Widget and update your status with messages about what you're watching, view photos, and your friends' photos and status updates.

Twitter:  Send and follow Tweets related specifically to the TV program, movie or sporting event you're watching.  You can search and view your friends' Tweets, select from a list of Tweets associated with today's hottest topics, search for specific Tweets, and create and save a favorite-topics list for Tweets you want to stay updated on.

ESPN Fantasy Sports:  Sign up for ESPN fantasy football and get instant on-screen access to personalized Fantasy Football points and football statistics, including rosters, box scores, scoring leaders and player information.

   Pro Football: Easy access to NFL stats and the RedZone channel. We offer it all including, rosters, player details and headline news from around the NFL.  Subscribers to the NFL RedZone channel also can set on-screen alerts for whenever a team is inside the 20-yard line, then press OK and switch to the RedZone channel game action.

KODAK Gallery Widget:  Registered KODAK Gallery users can access photos and slideshows that are stored on Kodak's online digital photo service. This includes photos from friends and family that have be

en linked to the subscriber's KODAK Gallery account.

WeatherBug: This Widget gives you instant access to real-time, personalized weather information and for

ecasts.   You can customize weather reports by any ZIP code, pull up hourly or seven-day forecasts and view radar weather to see how conditions are developing.

Seen any of those on cable?  Thought not....

Couple of comments...

The new WeatherBug widget is very nice but I notice there is never any Wind speed.

Can we customize the Widgets that are on the screen.  for example my Local Information Widgets has never had any data.  I should be able to remove it or maybe you guys can start using it?

I'd like to have the ability, like the NFL Redzone scores, to have information pop up such as very localized information, weather alerts, traffic alerts, caller ID, etc...  All customizable and able to turn on and off what I want.

There are so many possibilities here...

I would like to be able to easily customize which widgets I see when I hit the widget button. The only two current widgets I even remotely care about are Weatherbug and Traffic, yet I have to scroll through a couple of the other crap things to get between those two.

I'd like to see widgets that are program specific.  For instance, while watching the Yankees game, wouldn't it be nice if we could pull up Stats, Scoring Summary, etc.?
