To start, we’re featuring the Brazilian channel TV Globo through this Thursday, Feb. 16. Found on channel 1768, TV Globo features novelas, mini-series, music festivals, comedy, documentaries, news, live soccer and other sports programming for Brazilian and other Portuguese-speaking people. FiOS TV customers who want to subscribe to the channel can do so for $19.99 per month.
The rest of the month features free previews that will please a wide variety of sports fans. From today through Feb. 19, we’re offering NHL Center Ice. We told you about this one last December, when I listed some of the free previews we were offering between Christmas and Valentine’s Day. As a reminder, you’ll have access to non-stop hockey action on channels 1475-1488 in SD and 1473-1474 in HD.
Next up is Fox Soccer Plus. Soccer enthusiasts can spend the week of Feb. 20 watching all the soccer they can handle. For those not familiar with the channel, Fox Soccer Plus offers exclusive match content from the most prominent and highest profile soccer competitions, including UEFA Champions League, England’s Barclays Premier League, England’s FA Cup, Italy’s Serie A and French Ligue 1. The channel also offers coverage of Rugby competitions. Normally available for $14.99 a month, Fox Soccer Plus is available on FiOS TV channel 1009.
Last on the list for February free previews is NBA League Pass. If you didn’t catch the last free preview back in December, you’ll have another chance later this month. We’re offering it free from Feb. 28 through March 4. As you may remember, this package offers up to 40 out-of-market live basketball games every week and can be found on FiOS TV channels 1490-1499 in SD and 1489 in HD.
