nbaandverizon.JPGHey all you basketball fans – we have some good news!  FiOS TV customers will soon have access to a full season of the NBA with live games and original programming.

NBA LEAGUE PASS and NBA TV will now be a part of the FiOS TV channel lineup.

Starting next week, we’ll launch NBA TV on channel 89.  The HD version of the channel, along with the NBA League Pass package (also available in SD and HD on channels 1490 -1494 & 1489), will arrive on your TV sets soon.

With NBA LEAGUE PASS, subscribers will be able to view 40 out-of-market, live NBA games each week, so you can follow your favorite teams and players, no matter where you live.

NBA TV is the NBA’s 24-hour digital television network and offers live NBA games and signature studio shows; it’s an all-access channel for everything basketball.

As an added bonus, NBA League Pass subscribers can also see the NBA League Pass Stats Central channel, which provides real-time updates including scores, stats and league news from around the NBA.  We’re also working on enabling broadband access for our NBA League Pass subscribers; we’ll keep you posted on that.

NBA TV will be available at no additional charge as part of FiOS TV’s Extreme HD package, Verizon’s most popular offering.  If you sign up by Nov. 4, you can get the NBA League Pass package for an early-bird rate of $169 for the season, after which the price is $189.

Customers can order the package by calling Verizon at 888-553-1555.

While this channel should have been added before last season (like you said it would), this is a much welcome addition!  Thank you!

It would have really been nice to have NBA TV now!! Basketball season has been going on all summer with the WNBA. It sucks having to watch playoff games on my computer when I should be sitting in my easychair watching on the big screen. I can't wait for next summer. Thanks Verizon a little late is better than never.
