When I heard that “Dallas” was coming back to TV, I was excited – skeptical, but excited. As a kid growing up in the 80s, “Dallas” was my first primetime drama. I remember my parents letting me stay up late to watch and see what the Ewing family had in store for us each week.
Needless to say, my DVR is set. And yours should be too. For my fellow fans of the original series, you’ll be excited to see Larry Hagman return in his role as the infamous J.R. Ewing. He’s joined by Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing and Linda Grey as Sue Ellen. The family is continuing its fight for the family ranch, Southfork, and they’re joined by a new, younger cast of actors including Jesse Metcalfe and Jordana Brewster. You can read more about the show, including some insight from Patrick Duffy and Jesse Metcalfe, in Verizon’s Spotlight magazine (turn to page 20).
“Dallas” premieres tonight (June 13) on TNT at 9 pm ET. If you miss it, we’ll have it on FiOS TV Video on Demand. Each episode should be available on demand within 24 hours of airing.
Whether you are too young to remember Southfork or you’re like me and can’t wait to see the Ewings return, “Dallas” is sure to entertain. Check out the promo here and get ready for tonight!
