When I heard that “Dallas” was coming back to TV, I was excited – skeptical, but excited. As a kid growing up in the 80s, “Dallas” was my first primetime drama. I remember my parents letting me stay up late to watch and see what the Ewing family had in store for us each week.

Needless to say, my DVR is set. And yours should be too. For my fellow fans of the original series, you’ll be excited to see Larry Hagman return in his role as the infamous J.R. Ewing. He’s joined by Patrick Duffy as Bobby Ewing and Linda Grey as Sue Ellen. The family is continuing its fight for the family ranch, Southfork, and they’re joined by a new, younger cast of actors including Jesse Metcalfe and Jordana Brewster. “Dallas” premieres tonight (June 13) on TNT at 9 pm ET. If you miss it, we’ll have it on FiOS TV Video on Demand. Each episode should be available on demand within 24 hours of airing.

Whether you are too young to remember Southfork or you’re like me and can’t wait to see the Ewings return, “Dallas” is sure to entertain. Check out the promo here and get ready for tonight!

I recorded the show from 1 box and watched the show in another room using another cable box. My recording isn't showing the picture and audio problems that we experienced on the one we were watching.

Both boxes are HD QIP6200-2.  SNR, according to both boxes is good (SNR value from the recording stb: 38db, SNR from the watched stb that had the pixellation and audio drops: 36 db). Off to go check my connections, just in case.
